Hello, everyone! Well, Thanksgiving is almost here and I’m sure you’ve all put your turkeys in the fridge to start defrosting (at least I hope you have!), have your meals planned and your guests confirmed. Today I wanted to share something I am thankful for this year–some amazing friends that started a very empowering, informative and fun website called I am the everyday girl. Jane and Jen live in RI and wanted to create “a movement to inspire, encourage and just plain love the everyday girl” and that’s exactly what they’ve done on their website. Recently, we’ve partnered up with them to do a piece called Home Economics, where we’ll be sharing some fun tips on home decor and design for the everyday girl (check out a screenshot of the awesome page they’ve designed, below). I hope you check it out, subscribe to their mailing list and as always, thanks for reading! XOXO

Just a quick little post to keep all my DC people up to date! Jonathan Adler is almost ready to open its doors in Georgetown! I walked by yesterday and tried to get in but they said they were putting the finishing touches on the store and they would be open “tomorrow or the next day.” So, if you aren’t familiar with Adler’s designs or if you’re his #1 fan, go check out his new store in G-town! It’s right off M and Wisconsin. Yay! I can’t wait!

Hey everyone! If you haven’t noticed, it seems as though yesterday (or at least that’s when I was at the mall and noticed) was the official day the malls and shops everywhere broke out their holiday decorations and started playing Christmas music. Funny how it coincides with me thinking about what I want to get my friends and family for the holidays! I already have downloaded a Black Friday app on my iPhone and I’ve been getting updates as stores release their sales (I know, I’m nuts!). Here are a few sales going on now that I thought you might enjoy! As always, thanks for visiting A Fresh Coat!

For those of you who are like me and haven’t quite invested in “real” furniture just yet, next weekend might be your chance to own something that is made of-gasp-solid wood! The Thos. Moser in Tyson’s Corner is having a special sale event Nov. 9-12 where they are letting go of floor models, one-of-a-kinds and not-quite-perfect and first-quality pieces at reduced prices of up to 70% off. No put-it-together-by-number here just heirloom-quality, solid wood furniture. Seating, tables, beds, sofas, desks, and cases will be available, as well as the limited edition MOSERform furniture. The pieces are on a first-come, first-served cash/credit and carry basis, although the store can arrange for local delivery as well. For more info: 800-708-9045; firstname.lastname@example.org; 8461 Leesburg Pike Tysons Corner, VA 22182.
As always, thanks for reading A Fresh Coat! Sorry we’ve been on a looonggggg vacation from the blog but we hope you will come back soon (we did!)! XOXO
